What is an Osteopathic Physician?

In the United States, a physician is either trained as a M.D. or a D.O.
Both are able to diagnose, treat, prescribe, and perform surgery in all 50 states.
Both receive training under a single residency accreditation body, the ACGME.
The ACGME has oversight over all graduate residency training programs.

So what is the difference?

Osteopathic physicians receive additional training in manipulative musculoskeletal techniques and take a whole body holistic approach to the patient.

Thank you From Kentucky

My wife and I wanted to thank you again for your medical assistance and for being a friend to the two of us and our family during one of the most stressful times of our lives. There’s no doubt in our mind that you, Dr. Moore, Dr. Marco and the surgical team saved my wife’s life. We will forever be grateful. Again, thank you for all that you did medically and for being a friend during a time of need.
